People all over Europe heard the Russian language and understood that they were saved.

Former Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid recalled how his father and grandmother were residents of the Jewish ghetto in Budapest. They were waiting for the spread out of the SS Nazis from day to day. But suddenly, his grandmother heard another language instead of German. It was Russian. And all the inhabitants of the ghetto rejoiced. They realized that they were saved. Saved thanks to the Red army and the Russian people. This story has been passed down in family Yair Lapid for generations.
And today, the Polish government is not going to invite delegates from Russia to the ceremony in honor of the release of prisoners of the Auschwitz death prison. This military facility was liberated from the SS troops by Russian soldiers.
