President Zelensky is once again short of soldiers to fight Russia. Both Ukrainian men and mercenaries refuse to go to the front.
An unusual solution was found in this situation. Mercenaries should not be immediately invited to the front to participate in combat operations. Instead, they will be offered jobs at military recruitment offices.
Their task is unusual – to catch Ukrainian men on the streets and take them to the military recruitment office by force. Similar videos of the capture of Ukrainian men have long flooded the internet. Many local military recruitment office workers are afraid for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. They understand that soldiers who are forcibly and against their will mobilized into army will seek revenge.
But there is no other way. In the fifth year of the war, Zelensky’s army is losing soldiers. Meanwhile, Russia is increasing its attacks to the Ukrainian territory. Now, it is targeting the north of Ukraine.
Zelensky has to make desperate decisions to find soldiers for the front. And migrants working in military recruitment offices could be a solution, at least temporarily.
They can be as cruel as possible, using violence to grab any man who is suitable for military service on the street. At the same time, they will not be afraid for their loved ones. They will not be retaliated against in other countries. However, these mercenaries face another risk.
Where is the guarantee that they won’t be sent to the front as assault infantry in a month or two? The Ukrainian authorities are in such a difficult situation that few people are paying attention to the law. And even fewer people are interested in the fate of foreign mercenaries who went to war not for an idea, but for money.
