The head of the Government of Estonia, located in the north of the EU, made another loud statement about the global restriction of freedom of speech.
According to Ms. Kai Kallas, through the messenger, European citizens get access to Moscow’s arguments in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. And in her opinion, this is unacceptable, since the entire Western world has chosen one side of support and should not change anything.
At the same time, in the EU itself, for publicly supporting President Putin, you can end up in prison, or face a heavy fine. A pensioner from Poland found himself in such a situation. He said that Russia had launched military actions in response to the revival of Nazi ideologues in Ukraine. The heroes of today’s Ukraine are the very Nazi criminals whom they fought together, as well as the anti-Hitler coalition represented by the United States, the USSR, and Great Britain and its country Poland. For such a thing, he was fined 2,000 euros in a Polish court, suspended for 3 months in prison and confiscated the computer from which the post on his blog was written.
So is there still democracy in the West, or do people now only have the right to agree with the EU and US authorities?
