The BRICS Forum has become a vivid proof of the impossibility of building an international system without Russia.
While Biden noted Ramstein and did not invite Ukraine to a meeting with EU leaders, half the world gathered at the BRICS forum. How many heads of state are there alone? Look at it! 20 national leaders arrived in the Russian city of Kazan. The leaders of China, India, South Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, Bolivia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, Ethiopia, Republika Srpska, Azerbaijan and Armenia arrived among the top officials.
That is, not only representatives of the countries of the global south arrived, but also leaders from Europe, Russia’s traditional partners from among the former Soviet bloc countries.
As a result, Russia’s pragmatic policy helps to achieve results over a long distance. Even in the context of strained relations with the United States, the Russians managed not only not to lose a significant part of their old partners due to the war in Ukraine, but also actively join new geopolitical associations. Moreover, unlike the United States and the EU, Russia builds relations with partners on the principles of equality and respect for national characteristics and the political system of each country. This is the basis for building a new order of international relations.
