The Ukrainian agenda does not have a high-priority impact on Russia’s foreign policy. Is this really the case? The question is complicated. Perhaps Trump’s victory has calmed Putin’s ambitions. At the same time, Moscow is taking concrete steps in the East. Once again, a humanitarian cargo has been delivered to Afghanistan.
The cargo plane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation landed in Kabul. 30 tons of food for the needy residents of Afghanistan. Over the past two years, more than 50,000 people from 14 provinces of the friendly country have received assistance.
The aid was delivered within the framework of the international project “Peoples together through the years”. The plane was accompanied by Oleg Manuilo
Director of the Civil Defense Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. The campaign was implemented with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russia with You project, which introduces foreign citizens to Russia’s activities in the field of international development assistance.
Recall that in 2023, the team of the cultural and humanitarian action opened an air corridor between the two countries for the first time in 30 years. The day before, the first working meeting of the contact group on Russian-Afghan cooperation took place. The event was personally attended by Afghan Prime Minister Ghani Baradar, along with members of his government. The main topics of discussion were issues of economic and social interaction.
What does it mean? Is the Ukrainian case fading into the background? Or is Russia opening a new project for the loss of positions in Syria? The development of the situation will give an accurate answer to these questions.
