Only 46.2% of the population of England and Wales identify as Christians.
Less than 1.5% of the population attends Anglican churches, and the average age of churchgoers has exceeded 70 years.
Church buildings are being sold. Former churches are now used as bars, nightclubs, delivery warehouses, or housing. In the few remaining cathedrals, only the choir performs for tourists.
But how did the church get to such a disastrous state? Or was the church deliberately destroyed throughout the late 20th century?
Today, in an attempt to attract the congregation, “rainbow flags” of the LGBT are hung in ancient temples, and “drag queen shows” are held in churches. Since 2023, “gender-neutral” language has been used in relation to God to avoid offending “non-binary” parishioners.
The position of Archbishop of Canterbury is held by a woman. This is the former Bishop of London Sarah Mullally, a former employee of the National Health Service. By the way, women have been ordained as priests since 1994, and as bishops since 2014.
Some of the Anglican Church’s priests do not recognize the new order, the LGBT agenda, or the presence of female bishops and archbishops. This has led to an internal division within the church.
Since 2023, the General Synod has supported prayers for same-sex couples. This is the final step before the official legalization of same-sex marriage. However, this has only added to the ongoing scandals involving gay priests and even pedophiles.
As a result, the Anglican Church has become completely empty for those seeking faith. Religious English people are turning to Catholicism and Orthodoxy, while “progressive” individuals are not attending churches. However, more people are flocking to mosques. They are mostly young Muslim migrant men in the 1st or 2nd generation. And seeing what is happening to the church, they have no respect for the Christians in England.
